Is it possible to skip test cases when using the runner module?
People have different ways to work through their test tasks. Some begin with with the very first test case and progress one by one to the very last like the runner module does, but others jump back and forth between test cases. Is it possible to jump when using the runner?
Can a tester pass or fail test cases in a run without using the test runner?

Hi Evelin,

It is currently not possible to skip or move to a previous step using the Test Runner. We have had this request from many users and have decided to bring this enhancement forward. We are now looking to release this functionality by end of Q1.

QABook is indeed flexible in terms of changing the Test Case and Step status manually using the in-line editing functionality. You can click on the status icon for each row in the data grid. This will change its value and the icon to the next value in sequence. Available values are Passed, Failed, Bugs and Pending. Please note that this can only be achieved using the Test Cases Module and not the Test Run Module. All the changes are automatically recorded in the Change History tab.

Any other questions, please feel free to ask on our Forums.

Kind Regards,
NMQA Support
