We provide a number of performance testing types as part of our service:
Response Time Benchmarking
No load will be place on the Servers and the core user response time metrics captured. The average score of a large sample will be utilised to benchmark response times for other test scenarios.
KPI Testing
The objective of this testing will be to establish the requests/sec that the servers can handle whilst keeping response times suitable for key actions within the web site.
Stress Testing
The objective of this testing is to stress the system to the point that it is incapable of responding to a users request or that the system fails. The load on the server is gradually incremented whilst measuring the increase in response times until failure of the system. The aim of this test is to establish the maximum capacity and operating conditions that the servers can endure.
Best Case Performance Testing
The objective of this testing is to establish the best case utilisation of the server from a users perspective. The aim will be to load the servers whilst retaining the users response time KPI’s.
Soak Testing
The objective of this testing is to ensure that there is not degradation in performance over time. This will be conducted with varying load but with a view to ensuring that there are no memory leaks within the server software.
